Further Easing of COVID Restrictions
The Club has been advised by Golf Australia that outdoor sports no longer need to follow a COVID safe plan for that aspect of our operations. What that means is that restrictions relating to shared equipment have been removed.
For us this means that effective from Saturday, 1 May 2021 pins will again be able to be removed (allowing us to remove the pool noodles), ball washers will be reinstalled and bunker rakes will be returned with normal rules of golf to apply.
Furthermore the process for recording nearest to the pins will revert back to normal and a maximum of two motorised carts per group will again be enforced, unless a medical exemption can be provided.
As per our previous email from this date, you will also be required to register your attendance electronically by using the Check in Qld App, if your name is not on the timesheet.
Please be advised that while restrictions on outdoor sport have been lifted, restrictions on hospitality continue to remain in force.
Once again Members are reminded of the following to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
- Stay home if you are sick
- If you have any COVID-19 symptoms, no matter how mild, get tested
- Stay 1.5 metres away from other people—think two big steps
- Wash your hands with soap and water, or hand sanitiser regularly
- Leave a location if it is crowded.
If you have additional information or have questions please don’t hesitate to contact me via geoff@brisbanegolfclub.com.au or on 0411 412 666.
Kind regards
