Note from the Ladies’ Captain
This year’s Club Championships will be played as two qualifying stroke rounds, followed by match-play for the top eight qualifiers in each division.
The event begins on Saturday, 29 May 2021 with an optional first round for full members. Please make sure if you wish to qualify using either or both of the 2 optional rounds on Saturday, 29 May 2021 and Saturday, 5 June 2021 that you notify of your intention before you start your round. Cards from these rounds for qualification will only be considered if the Golf Shop has been informed before hitting off.
On Tuesday, 1 June 2021 and Thursday, 3 June 2021 we have the two midweek qualifying rounds for the Club Championships. If you wish to qualify please tick Yes in the box provided on your score card.
For all qualifying rounds all players must use a score card not the Miscore App.
Those playing the Senior Salver, open to players 65 years and older, must notify the Golf Shop on Tuesday, 1 June 2021 prior to starting their first round. Those wishing to play the Senior Salver must play stroke on the 1st and 3rd of June and are then not eligible to play in the Club Championships.
All players playing the Club Championships must be available to play on Sunday, 13 June 2021 in the Quarter Finals, Sunday, 20 June 2021 in the Semi Finals and on Sunday 27 June 2021 in the Finals.
36 Hole Foursomes Championships
On Tuesday, 1 June 2021 three nomination sheets will open for the 36 Hole Club Foursomes to be played on Tuesday, 29 June 2021. The Club Champions will be decided on gross scores and there will be a 36 hole nett event as well.
Firstly, there will be a nomination sheet for those playing the 36 hole Club Championships. There will be two other sheets open. These are for those playing 18 holes only in the morning or those wishing playing 18 holes only in the afternoon. These time slots will form part of an 18 hole Foursomes nett competition for those not playing in the 36 hole Championship.
We will be playing in groups of 3 pairs. Please remember when choosing your starting hole to leave the closest to the club house for those who will be walking the course. There will be a shot gun starts at 7.30 and 12pm.
With two rounds of golf in the one day during winter, it is important that the field keeps moving and players make sure they keep up with the group in front.
To keep the field moving through the lunchtime changeover, we will have a pre-order lunch sheet available for players to fill out and hand in before they start their first round. There may not be a lot of time between rounds and it would be a big help if those wanting lunch place the early order.
After the two rounds of golf please come upstairs to enjoy a complementary platter and cheer on the winners.
Wishing all players good golfing.
