Further Changes to Women’s Golf Schedule
Rain and rain again – the course has received so much rain in the last week, that a number of holes experienced a minor degree of flooding. Whilst drying out, it is still far too wet to contemplate golf at the moment.
It is very disappointing that the final two rounds of the Ladies’ Club Championships will have to be rescheduled once again!
The updated programme will be as follows:
Single Stableford for this week – if at all.
Tuesday, 24 May – Round 3 (2nd option), hopefully the weather remains relatively dry.
Thursday, 26 May – Final Round (Seeded Draw)
As a consequence of delaying the final rounds of the Ladies’ Club Championships, the dates for Violet Midson have been changed.
Please note the new dates are as follows:
Qualifying for Violet Midson – Tuesday, 31 May
Round 1 – Thursday, 2 June
Quarter Finals – Tuesday, 7 June
Semi Finals – Thursday, 9 June (7:15am shotgun start on this day, will mean that the Semi-Finals will played off the first hole, starting at 7:15am.)
Tuesday, 14 June – Monthly Medal along with Tanner Cup, Open Nett Stroke event for players with a playing handicap of 18 or less.
Finals on Thursday, 16 June (7:15am shotgun start on this day, will mean final will be played off the first hole starting at 7:15am)
Please remember when qualifying for Violet Midson that you need to be available for all rounds of the competition. (Cross fingers that no further changes will be needed!)
I realise that these changes are not ideal, however if we continue to have rain with more cancellations, we simply have to make the best of what we have.
Thank you once again for your patience and good humour during this difficult time.
Kind regards
Janet Nathanson, Women’s Captain
