Expressions of Interest Campaign for Vacant Club Land adjacent to 8th Fairway
Following on from my last message to Members in December, I wish to remind you that the marketing campaign by Cushman and Wakefield will proceed over the coming month. It will be an Expressions of Interest Campaign for the purchase of the Club land adjacent to the Hole 8 Fairway. This land has remained unused for over 40 years and is not part of the Golf Course Masterplan.
This land potentially represents well over 7000 square metres of useable land which also borders on the Moolabin Creek and Fairfield Road. The Committee will use the outcome of this campaign to gauge the interest from developers. It hopefully will provide us with a potential purchaser and price for the land that we would then take back to the Members for consideration. Any conditional sale approved by Members could still take significant time to pass through rezonings and Council approvals.
The Committee believes this is the best way to solve some of our capital requirements and enable us to initiate the major projects outlined in the December Annual Report. Members that are interested in purchasing the land should contact Cushman and Wakefield directly.
