What does our Foundation Launch Cocktail Party look like?
Be greeted by a glass of Piper Heidsieck champagne as you enter the Jacaranda Gardens to music from the Four Strings Quartet. These classically trained musicians have played with Australia’s symphony orchestras and supported famous rock bands. They will perform throughout the evening.
As you mix with other guests, begin the culinary journey prepared by the 2022 Queensland Chef of the Year David Finlayson. Begin at the Freshly Shucked Oyster Station but leave room for other delicacies like Mooloolaba Prawns and Moreton Bay Bug sliders. In all 10 exquisite offerings to meet every taste, finishing with a cheese extravaganza.
Choose from premium wines including Chardonnay from the Margaret River, Pinot Noir from Central Otago and selections from the French Riviera, Clare Valley and McLaren Vale. Or maybe a beer or something soft is your choosing. There will be something for everyone.
Television identity Pat Welsh will welcome you to this special evening. Hear Pat chat with a panel of BGC members on the importance of the Club to them and their families.
Hear from The Brisbane Golf Club President and the inaugural Foundation Chair. Listen to acclaimed fund manager, director of the Australian Golf Foundation and BGC member Paul Taylor talk about the role of Foundations in golf and golf clubs.
All the while being surrounded by friends and charmed by the exquisite music of the Four Strings Quartet as they move through classical, contemporary and jazz selections.
This is a non-fundraising special evening to launch our Foundation. You may even go home with one of our special launch door prizes.
