New BGC-NS App FAQS

The BGC-NS App transition has been progressing well with a large number of members now using the new app.

To assist those members and those who are yet to download it, we have prepared the following FAQs.

Please be advised that the old BGC App will remain until 1 May 2024. After this time it will be deleted from the Apple Store and Google Play.

Members are encouraged to contact me via geoff@brisbanegolfclub.com.au with any issues they are experiencing. Alternatively please see staff in the Garden Room or Office.

Which App to I download?

The correct app to download is called BGC-NS and has a blue logo. The app with the black logo is our old App.

How do I login?

Use your membership number and your surname in lower case. The log in details to access the BGC-NS App are different to your MiClub login details.

How do I see my recent transactions?

Simply open the BGC-NS App and touch ‘Menu’ at the bottom right hand side of the screen. Under My Account touch ‘Recent Charges’. Then ctouch the downward arrow at near the top near ‘Subscription’ and change to ‘House’. You will then be able to see your recent charges and scroll down the bottom to see your balance. Remember an amount in brackets means you have money in your account. i.e. ($39.45) means you have $39.45 in your account.

Note: we have requested that the default be House when you touch ‘Recent Charges’ but current there is not any option to select a default for this.

When will my statement update?

Monthly statements will be available around the 1st of every month.

Why do I need to keep logging in between booking a round of golf and other golfing services?

This issue has now been fixed and you only have to login in when you first login into the BGC-NS App.

In the Member Directory, how to a search for a members?

If you use the alphabetical listing on the right side of the screen you can search by first name. If you wish to search by surname, please start typing the surname in search box and press the search icon when ready.

Is there a user guide to assist us learn more about the new App?

How do I access the latest news from The Brisbane Golf Club on the new App?

There are two ways to do this. You can touch ‘Feed’ on the bottom of the home page. You an also touch ‘Menu’ and under My Account touch ‘Member News’.

How do I make a payment to my house account?

Simply touch ‘Menu’ and under My Account touch ‘Make Payment’. Enter an amount you wish to pay into your Subscription or House Account in the section provided. The House Account is your day to day account. Then under ‘Please select a Payment Option’ click on the credit card you would like to use or if it’s your first time add a credit card. Then touch ‘Make Payment’.

A message ‘we accept cookies’ message appears every time I click back to recent charges. Can this be turned off?

The developer has advised this pop up will appear every time. If they turn it off it will breach mobile app security requirements.

I can’t find the eclectics on the new App?

The eclectics on the new App can be found under ‘Menu’ and golfing services. The button for ‘Eclectics’ is listed there.

Will the new App work on an iPad?

Since the mobile app is compatible with iOS, it will work as same on both iPad and iPhones. As long as the size is concerned, it can be zoomed in and out by clicking on the two arrows in the bottom right hand corner.

Can I look up my handicap through the new App?

Unfortunately no at this point in time. The App developers are working on this. In the meantime it is recommended you download the GA Handicap App.
