Staff Movements
Two of our senior staff members resigned today to pursue new directions.
Dave Mason
Course Superintendent Dave plans to travel with his wife Tash around Australia. Dave joined the BGC team in March 2022, just as the course flooded and he will be with us until Friday 7 June. He is keen to ensure that the greens fully recover from the rainfall and thatch challenges before he departs.
Dave helped us take great steps towards our vision of elevating the course to be its best. He opened up holes where vegetation was encroaching into the lines of play and created vistas of our creeks, lakes, and the course. His work cleaning up the creek surrounds has improved the movement of water through the course. He developed broader areas of fine cut turf, reshaped fairways, and transformed the 5th tee precinct into an attractive area.
Dave sends his thanks for the privilege of being part of the Club and the generosity showed towards both he and Tash.
Thank you, Dave, for your vision and engagement in our Club community. We look forward to following your travels and new adventures.
Kymberley Patterson
Finance Manager, Kymberley is taking a well-earned career break after which she intends to pursue new opportunities that align more closely with her family priorities. Kymberley’s last day with us will be Friday 12 April after 6 years at the Club.
Kymberley’s expertise as a CPA Accountant is highly respected within and beyond the Club. Her high-quality management of Club accounts helped us navigate the COVID-19 years; the 2011 & 2022 flood insurance claims, the golf shop fire insurance claim and numerous storm challenges. In addition, our auditors have never found a mistake in her financial records.
Thank you, Kymberley, for everything you have done for us. We wish you all the best and look forward to hearing how you are getting on.
Moving forward
We will now commence the process of recruiting quality replacements.
