Pennant News for Friday 3 May.

The day started early for the Kerrie/Kelly Gang – Sapphire Pennant Team Zone 2, starting at 7:30 at Mount Warren Park, playing against Redland Bay. A valiant effort from all players,  just falling short – With Pat Goh 8/7, Louise Kelly 3/1, and Berenice Holmes 1 up, winning their games with Kerrie O’Callaghan, Kate Morgan, Laura Cunning and Kerry Estella losing theirs.

Sapphire Zone 3, players taking on Indooroopilly at Indooroopilly. A very convincing win.  Apparently negating the “home course” advantage winning 6.5/0.5. Anna Lyons 1 up, Leigh Francis, 4/3, Robyn Wanless 3/1, Angela Cottrell 2/1, Vicki Mounts 3/2 and Jenny Somers 2 up, with Sue Eagleton squaring her game to earn the final half point.

A later start for Yellow Diamond playing at RQ against McLeod.  A convincing win by the team.  Hannah Reeves 6/5, Aspen Sugars 8/6, Angelina Drakos 6/5, Perri Ilott 5/4, Fiona Elsdon 2/1 and Ann Fell 6/4, with Lisa Schoutrop going down 4/3.

An excellent effort by all players and caddies. Well done for playing with good humour and spirit.

Sunday Yellow Diamond will have the day off to celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday.
