Team Announcement: Round 3 Pennants
The Brisbane Golf Club will play Indooroopilly Golf Club in Round 3 of the 2024 BDGA Div 1 Pennant season this Sunday.
Indooroopilly will be playing at home for the first time in 2024 and will be looking to secure their first win after two loses away in Round 1 and 2 against Keperra Country & Golf Club and Royal Queensland Golf Club.
BGC remains undefeated this year, with a win away and at home so far. A third win will have BGC well positioned heading in the second half of the season.
The two teams last met in 2016 in Div 2 with Indooroopilly winning that match at home comfortably 13.5 to 6.5. Interestingly now BGC Member, Maverick Antcliffe played number 1 in the Opens for Indooroopilly in that match and defeated five-time BGC Club Champion, Cameron Powell 4&2.
BGC have the luxury of selecting their team from a full squad this week with everyone available. Last week we had players competing interstate. George Giblett, Chris Somerfield and Taj Ega finished T6, T16 and T25 at the Newcastle Next Gen Tour event and Campbell Kerr and Sam Howse finished 13th and 18th at the Portsea Amateur.
