Board Update – February 2025

This message summarises the resolutions and updates discussed at the February Board meeting. Links to documents and online resources are in bold.

1. Green Resurfacing Trial: Greens 19,20 and 21 are growing in on schedule. More information about the plan for resurfacing all greens will be available soon. Read the Course Update.

2. Fairfield Road land lease: On Saturday 1st March voting members will consider a proposal to lease land on Fairfield Road. Read FAQ here.

3. Membership update: Club Membership is nearing maximum levels. All membership categories are almost closed with a waitlist likely to be in place for the next 12 months. Twelve membership places are available.

4. Membership Benefits Review: The following updates to member benefits have been approved by the Board. They cover suspending the Family Entrance Fee Discounts, capping Full (620) and six-day (550) membership and clarifying the playing and participation entitlements of the Club’s PGA Professionals who are not covered in the touring Professionals membership category. 5. Infrastructure plan: The Board approved engaging Golf Business Advisory Services to commence work on costing vital infrastructure upgrades and developing a funding model for major course, clubhouse and hospitality facilities improvements. The work is designed to put the Club on a stronger financial footing and provide an even higher standard of facilities and services across the whole Club.

6. New Workplace Health & Safety Requirement: From 1 March the Club is required and ready to implement a ‘Prevention Plan’ regarding sexual harassment or sex or gender-based harassment for staff and members. Read more information here.
