2025 Men’s Club Championships
The qualifying rounds of the 2025 Men’s Club Championships will be held over two weekends in May 2025. Please find the exact dates and additional information below:
Club Championships, A Grade Plate, C Grade, Junior Championships & Senior Championships
- 1st Round Qualifying – Saturday, 17 May 2025.
- A Grade off the 1st tee, C Grade off the 10th tee.
- 2nd Round Qualifying – Sunday, 25 May 2025.
- A Grade off the 10th tee, C Grade off the 1st tee.
B Grade, Junior Championships & Senior Championships
- 1st Round Qualifying – Sunday, 18 May 2025, off the 1st tee.
- 2nd Round Qualifying – Saturday, 24 May 2025, off the 10th tee.
Six Day Championship
- Qualifying – Sunday, 11 & 18 May 2025.
Veteran’s Handicap Matchplay
- Qualifying 18 holes only – Saturday, 10 May 2025 or Sunday, 11 May 2025.
The timesheets for all qualifying rounds will open on Friday, 25 April 2025 at 6pm for Members playing in the 2025 Men’s Club Championship (excluding the Six Day Championships which opened on Sunday, 20 April 2025).
The timesheets for other Members wishing to play in the competition on the various days during qualifying will open seven days prior from 6am.
Players must qualify on the days nominated for their grades. Failure to do so will make a player ineligible to qualify.
Each individual’s GA handicap as of 6pm on Friday, 25 April 2025 based on the Chelmer Layout Ratings will determine which grade each member is eligible for:
- A Grade – GA handicap of 11.0 and less.
- B Grade – GA handicap between 11.1 and 17.8.
- C Grade – GA handicap of 17.9 and above.
Play will be in groups of 4 within each grade at 8-minute intervals on all days of the 2025 Men’s Club Championships.
Match play will be played in groups of 2 commencing at 6:30am as follows;
- Round of 16 (Men’s Championship Only) & Quarter-final matches to be played on Sunday, 8 June 2025
- Semi-final matches to be played on Sunday, 15 June 2025
- Championship finals to be played on Sunday, 22 June 2025

2025 Men’s Club Championship Conditions
- All ties in qualifying will be decided by countback.
- All Championship matches are 18 hole gross matchplay except for the Club Championship Final which will be 36 hole matchplay.
- Vets Matchplay is handicap matchplay using the Match Index.
- Motorised carts cannot be used for those players wishing to qualify for the Club Championship and the Junior Championship. There will be an exemption for a medical certificate.
- All Junior Members are only eligible to qualify for the Club Championship or Junior Championship.
- All matches to be played on the day and time scheduled.
- Extra holes to be played if matches are all square after 18 or 36 holes.
- Players who qualify for more than one event must inform Reece McRae of their chosen event before 5pm on Tuesday, 27 May 2025.
- Draws will be available on Thursday, 29 May 2025.
