2025 Men’s Club Championship Update
The course was closed this afternoon at approximately 3pm due to flooding across Holes 3 & 6, making the course unplayable. The decision has been made to abandon the Men’s Round 2 qualifying for today, including all the Men’s scores from the morning field. This decision is consistent with normal procedure when half the field cannot complete their round. The decision has also been made to postpone the Men’s B Grade & Six Day Championship qualifying for tomorrow, Sunday, 1 June.
The Round 2 qualifying for the Men’s A, B & C Grade, A Grade Plate, Senior Championships and Junior Championships will now be played on Saturday, 7 June. The current bookings for that timesheet will be deleted. The timesheet for Round 2 qualifying will be open for bookings from Sunday, 1 June (tomorrow) at 6pm. Only those who ticked ‘To Qualify’ and played Round 1 are encouraged to book when the timesheet opens. All other eligible Members will be able to book from Wednesday, 4 June at 6pm. The Club has a list of those players who have ticked ‘To Qualify’. If you are not on that list, and book prior to Wednesday 4 June at 6pm, your name may be removed.
The Men’s Six Day A, B & C Grade Championship qualifying will now be reduced to an 18 hole qualification, based on scores from Round 1 qualifying on Sunday, 11 May.
As a result of the Round 2 qualifying postponement, the draws for the Men’s Club Championship Matchplay will be finalised as soon as possible following the conclusion of play next Saturday, 7 June. The Men’s and Women’s Club Championship Matchplay will proceed as scheduled from Sunday, 8 June.
All bookings for tomorrow, Sunday, 1 June will stand. Please delete yourself from the timesheet if you don’t wish to play. A decision on whether or not the course is open and if carts are permitted will be made in the morning.
