Team Announcement – Round 1 vs IGC
The BDGA Pennants season commences this Sunday, 13 July with The Brisbane Golf Club to play Indooroopilly Golf Club in Round 1 at Indooroopilly.
BGC will be looking to win their fourth Division 1 title in a row after winning in 2022, 2023 and 2024. The Club also won Division 1 titles in 2017 and 2018 before a break in competition due to COVID-19.
Indooroopilly Golf Club, who finished runner-up to BGC last season, will be looking to go one better this year. The two clubs drew at IGC in Round 3 of the 2024 season, while in a dead rubber in Round 6, Indooroopilly defeated BGC at home, our first loss at home in several years.
This match marks the beginning of a challenging start to the season for BGC, who will play three consecutive away games. In Round 2, BGC travels to Royal Queensland Golf Club, followed by an away fixture against Pacific Golf Club in Round 3.

The squad features six past and present junior, club and senior champions.
The squad also includes four players in Aahan Anand, Darwin Butsumalee, Peter Hargreaves and Shane Sweeney who could make their debuts this week.
Anand, and Butsumalee (both aged 14), are members of BGC’s Junior Academy, and both playing off a very handy one handicap.
Billy Dowling and Chase Oberle were unavailable for selection as they are both representing the BGC competing in tournaments in the United States.
We once again encourage as many Members as possible to come out and catch the live action at IGC from 7am off both tees.
In the other match this weekend Royal Queensland Golf Club will be away to Pacific Golf Club who enter Division 1 after winning Division 2 in 2024. Pacific Golf Club were the last Club to win three Division 1 titles in a row.
Keperra Country & Golf Club have taken the place of Pacific Golf Club in Division 2 after finishing fourth in Division 1 in 2024.
