Volunteer Update
This morning an enthusiastic group of volunteers gathered at 7am and ventured to the area behind the 7th green. Armed with secateurs, bow knives, staff chainsaws alongside a large trailer and gator the volunteers managed to clear out much of the low lying shrubbery and trees.
This area had been declared a lateral penalty area in recent times because of the difficulty in finding and playing a golf ball. Once totally cleared up it should become part of the General Area allowing easy location and extraction. An area along the 3rd fairway, adjacent to Rocky Waterholes Creek, about 100m from the green was also cleaned up of much rubbish, dead trees, vines, chinese elms etc.
Thanks to John Puttick, Les Nathanson, Phil Jefferson, Owen Wright, Janet Nathanson, Ralph Hockings, Julie Brown, Dennis May, John Rogers, Rob Brown, Mal Cramb and Al Haydock, led capably by Super Marcus and staff Eric and Sam.
Cheers
Lloyd Cotterill
