Board Update – October 2025
This message summarises the resolutions and updates discussed at the October Board meeting. Links to documents and online resources are in bold.
1. Green replacement program: The construction phase of stage 3 of the GRP finished on Thursday, 23 October, two weeks ahead of schedule. Stage 4 which is the resurfacing of our final three greens (14, 15, 16) is expected to commence in mid-January 2026. Click here to read the full update.
2. Clubhouse enhancements: The Garden Room has become a central hub of the Club; however, the facility is now outdated in both its member experience and operational functionality. To address this, the Board has approved moving forward with the next stage of planning to upgrade the Garden Room. This phase will involve engaging an architect, along with the necessary consultants and engineers, to prepare detailed plans and drawings that will enable accurate project pricing. Once this information is obtained, the Board will carefully review the outcomes to assess the project’s feasibility and determine whether it should proceed.
3. East Green relocation proposal: The Board has approved the relocation of the East Green closer to the current 1st tee. A new 1st tee will be constructed, converting Hole 1 into a par 4. These works will enhance member safety, avoid resurfacing a green that may be relocated in the coming years, provide a larger sized putting green and reduce traffic congestion outside of the Garden Room. These works will commence in mid-January 2025 and will not require hole 1 to be out of play outside of the time need for the 1st green to grow back in.
4. Course updates: Course updates are published twice a month by Alex Blakey, our Assistant Course Superintendent in Member News. He also produces regular course videos to keep members updated. Click here to read the latest course update.
5. Automatic tops ups from bank accounts: Members can now arrange an automatic top up of their house account when it falls under a certain level by setting up a top up from their bank account. Previously only credit cards, which attracted a merchant fee were allowed.
