Motorised Cart Update
I wish to provide the Membership an update on the Club’s decisions and purchase of a new motorised cart fleet.
Members will recall that the 2020 Club Committee decided to extend our current motorised cart lease by a further 2 years until June 2022.
In May 2021, the Club Committee purchased 40 motorised carts under a no obligation free trial. Unfortunately, the contract with this company was terminated last month. The supplier experienced supply channel difficulties due to COVID-19 and were unable to guarantee a delivery time.
Subsequently we have purchased 75 new motorised carts from EZGO, our current supplier. We are very happy with the terms of this purchase and believe the increased number of carts will give all Members greater opportunities to hire state of the art motorised carts. The carts will include GPS, geofencing and a built to purpose motorised cart storage area will be constructed behind the Golf Shop. It will also include a wash down bay. I believe this fleet and storage area will again assist in creating a premium golf experience at the golf club.
The new fleet should be delivered in August/September of this year. Given normal wait times have been in excess of 12 months, we are grateful for this offer from EZGO to fast track our delivery.
We will keep Members updated on this process during the year, but the Committee is very pleased with this plan and outcome for Members.
