QSOOM February Results – March Preview
Hello Team BGC!
Only a couple of QSOOM events with Team BGC success in both of them … but first… some travellers.
TASMANIAN SENIOR AUSOOM
Another National Top 10 finish for Stephen Deane, who was our lone competitor at the recent Tasmanian Senior, which moved to a new venue at our sister club, Kingston Beach.
Rounds of 79,75,79 was good enough for T10 on some of the slickest greens in the country.
NEW ZEALAND SENIOR AM
Reg Hutchison and myself took BGC representation to Christchurch and Waitikiri golf clubs for the NZ Senior. Both of us made the cut to play the better course on day 3. A great fun trip.
We learnt later that there was a team comp … but we needed a third player. Any takers for next year? Apparently being played at Hastings GC (Bridge Park).
Anyway …. Back to QSOOM.
Wynnum. BGC – 6 members.
Scratch – RING THE BELL! Another win to Stephen Deane with a nice +2 at Wynnum. Good top 10 finishes for Ian Burgess, who has hit the QSOOM ground running and Peter Lansom.
Nett – Ian Burgess our best on nett.
Hope Island – 14 BGC Members.
Scratch – Another good, consistent finish for Stephen Deane. Good rounds for myself and Ian Burgess.
Nett – RING THE BELL! We have another winner. It was certainly a nice feeling to play well alongside one of the guns of QSOOM in Ian Frost.

March Preview.
20 March – Southport
25-26 March – Laidley. (36 hole pointsfest).
Also in March, Stephen Deane takes part in the GAvADF match on the 20-21st of March. Good luck Steve.
Also, Stephen and myself will be in Wollongong next week for the NSW Senior Amateur.
