Course Volunteer Update
Today, Monday May 20th, the volunteers enjoyed a cool morning as 2 teams diligently removed many of the weeds in the bunkers from the 1st to the 18th. Although the bunkers are routinely part of the herbicide program to control the weeds many escape, needing to be manually dealt with to enhance the bunkers appearance. Also enhanced was the volunteers’ comments that we may have too many of these expensive labour intensive hazards slowing down play.
Thank you to these members for their efforts; Phil Jefferson, Rob Keers, Rob Brown, Les Nathanson, Dennis May, Ned O’Connor, John Rogers, Janet Nathanson and Greg Moroney. The volunteer guys unusually outnumbered the volunteer girls today, after the plan forgetting to tell them worked a treat.
