Upcoming Women’s Golf Events
Time is relative, as we started the season with the whole year stretching in front of us, there seemed to be so much time to think and plan things, but as the months have passed, time has telescoped, and now there doesn’t appear to be enough hours in the day!
2024 is no different, with the pennant season behind us, and Club Championships well under way, it is time to contemplate some of the exciting events in store for the next month or so.
Winter Solstice – Friday 21 June 2024
Club Championship Finals – Sunday 23 June 2024
36 Hole Foursomes Championships – Tuesday 25 June 2024
Shotgun starts at 7:15am and 12:15pm.
Pre-order lunches will be the order of the day, with a gathering in the Bar area at the end of the day to celebrate the Foursomes Champions (Gross Winners) and the Winners of the nett Foursomes event. (Winners of the Gross event, cannot win the Nett event as well!) For those of you not willing to spend the day going round the golf course twice, there will be space for 18 holes of foursomes.
American Foursomes – Tuesday, 2 July 2024
Shot gun start at 7:15am
Time to dress up and play American foursomes – Prize for the best dressed!
- American Foursomes is played with 2 people
- Both player A and B tee off, then swap balls, and hit each other’s balls.
- Choose the best shot, and continue playing in the alternate shot format until the ball is holed.
Lunch to follow in the Tennyson Room – costing only $18. A buffet style lunch with plenty of choice for all, with the impossible to resist “chocolate brownie” to finish!

- A nomination sheet will open around 25th June
- Shot gun start around 7:45am
- Costings and further details will be posted on the Notice Board in the Women’s Locker Room.
- (From past experience one could expect to pay around $60 for the day, which will include both golf and lunch)
