Team Announcement: Round 1 Pennants
The Brisbane Golf Club will start the defence of its Division 1 BDGA Pennant with an away match against Royal Queensland Golf Club this Sunday.
After back-to-back wins in 2022 and 2023, BGC has the opportunity to complete an extremely rare hat-trick in 2024, something the Club was unable to achieve in 2019 after winning in 2017 and 2018.
Division 1 welcomes Indooroopilly Golf Club this year from Division 2 with Keperra Country & Golf Club, Royal Queensland Golf Club and BGC making up the group of four. Each team will play each other at home and away over the next six weeks.
RQ won their first four matches last year including all three of their home games and while every away game is a challenge, this is expected to be one of the BGC’s biggest. The winner will enjoy a perfect start to the 2024 season. While BGC won the last outing, at home, the two teams are tied at two wins each since playing each other in Division 1, with neither team able to secure a win away from home.
In the other match this weekend Keperra Country & Golf Club will host Indooroopilly Golf Club.
