Upcoming Green Re-Surfacing Trial
We are pleased to announce the commencement of the green re-surfacing trial at The Brisbane Golf Club. This trial represents an exciting step in our ongoing commitment to maintaining and enhancing the quality of our greens and course.
Below are the key details of the project:
- The resurfacing of greens on Holes 19, 20 and 21 will commence on Monday, 20 January 2025.
- These greens will be sprayed out on Monday, 13 January 2025, and again on Friday, 17 January 2025. Since these holes are already out of play, the impact on play will be minimal.
- Feedback from the Course Advisory Panel has been incorporated into the re-levelling process to implement subtle design improvements to these greens.
- The project is expected to take approximately two weeks, though this may vary depending on weather conditions.
- The greens on Holes 19, 20, and 21 will be expanded, with TifEagle planted to replace the collars. The existing turf in these areas will be repurposed for use elsewhere on the course to avoid wastage.
- We will discuss plans for documenting and communicating updates on this trial at next week’s Course Committee meeting.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. Should you have any questions or feedback, I can be contacted via geoff@brisbanegolfclub.com.au or on 0411 412 666.
