Volunteer Update
On a drizzly Monday morning the volunteers continued the quest between 10th and 19th fairways to clear the many low branches of existing trees as well as the removal of unwanted trees and shrubs, living and deceased.
This will enable course machinery the access required to mow and maintain this large area, enabling golfers to find their wayward golf ball.more easily and improving the general vista of the property. The new temporary red penalty area here will soon be gone.
Thanks today to volunteers Margot McNee, Al Haydock, Phil Jefferson, Dennis May, John Puttick, Rob Keers and Ross McTaggart, alongside course staff Marcus, Alex, Mark and Eric who wielded the necessary chainsaws and tractor trailer.
Our next outing is scheduled for Monday, 14 July with similar work anticipated for other areas of the course. Please note in your diary and remember all members are very welcome to participate.
