Greens Replacement Program – Temporary Course Routing and Operational Adjustments
As part of The Brisbane Golf Club’s commitment to delivering an exceptional playing experience, the Greens Replacement Program (GRP) will commence on Monday, 8 September. This important project will require temporary adjustments to course routing, competitions, and Clubhouse services.
Stage 3 – 18 Holes Available
Monday, 8 September to Wednesday, 24 September
During this period, holes 2, 7, 8 and the West Practice Green will be out of play for resurfacing.
The revised 18 Hole routing for two tee starts will be:
1, 20, 21, 5, 6, 3, 4, 17, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 19, 18
Please remain vigilant when moving from the 16th green to the 19th tee, as players will be hitting from the 21st tee.
Chipping practice will be permitted on the East Practice Green in the designated zone until the West Practice Green is back in play. Please be aware of golfers playing Hole 1 and Hole 18 at all times.
Stage 4 – 9 Holes Available
From Thursday, 25 September to Wednesday, 14 January
During this period, holes 10, 17, 18, 3, 4, 6, 1, 4 and 9 will be out of play for resurfacing, as well as 2, 7 and 8.
Members will play the following 9 holes twice to complete an 18-hole round:
12, 13, 21, 14, 15, 16, 19, 20, 11
Each green will have two flags with two holes. White flags will signify the front nine and yellow flags, the back nine.
As a starting point, we expect to be able to offer 160 tee times during this period. These are guaranteed 18-hole competition spots. This requires a 5:25am start time and 7-minute intervals.
5:25am to 7:38am – 80 tee times (18 holes)
9:58am – 12:11pm – 80 tee times (18 holes)
2:24pm – 3:48pm – 52 tee times (9 holes)
As the days get longer moving into Summer, we expect to be able to provide some additional 9-hole spots.
Monday’s tee times will commence at 7.30am to allow course maintenance. This will reduce tee times to 128 for 18-hole competition play on these days and 24 spots for 9-hole competitions.
18 Hole Competitions
Each 18-hole tee time will be a compulsory competition with a $12 competition fee except on Monday and Thursday which will be optional. Normal competition prizes will apply.
9 Hole Competitions
Each 9-hole tee time will be an optional medley competition with a $6 competition fee.
In addition to daily competition prizes paid, the best 9-hole Stableford score of the week will win 1 dozen Titleist ProV1s, the best 3 round aggregate Stableford score of the month for men and women will each win a $250 BGC Golf Shop Voucher and the best 8 round aggregate Stableford score during the period for men and women will each win a $1,000 BGC Voucher.
Members are reminded that two 9-hole scores may be combined and submitted as a valid 18-hole round for the purpose of handicapping.
Booking Restrictions
During the GRP there will be reduced tee times available for all members, and while there will no booking restrictions put in place, please be mindful of other members when making your bookings.
Tee Times at Other Clubs
We are grateful to several local clubs who have extended, at this stage, 140 tee times for BGC members during the resurfacing period. The following table is a guide to the number of tee times available at each host club. Please note they are subject to change by the host club.
Timesheets for the above bookings will be created on the BGC website and will close at 8.00am two days prior. i.e. If I wish to play on a Wednesday at 1.00pm, the timesheet for that day will close at 8.00am on Monday.
These rounds of golf will be at no cost to our members, unless playing in a competition which will require payment of a competition fee.
Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club is also offering members the opportunity to play The Palms Golf Course for $130 including motorised cart hire. Members are to call their Golf Shop on (07) 5699 9000.

Members will be able to scan the QR code displayed on a sign located on the 20th tee and place their order for regular items normally available from the Garden Room. Orders will be delivered to the back of the 11th green by the time you arrive there. House accounts will be charged accordingly so please ensure you have sufficient funds.

The Golf Shop will open from 4.45am and the Garden Room from 5am from Monday, 24 September. The driving range will open from sunrise.
Guests
To ensure, as many tee times are available for Members as possible, Member’s guests can only be introduced 24 hours prior if there are vacancies in the timesheet. Member’s guests can be booked online or via the Golf Shop.
Reciprocal Clubs
During this time visits from reciprocal members will be put on hold until the end of the GRP. Members are advised that this may pause our reciprocity at other clubs and are encouraged to check those arrangements before making a request for a letter of introduction.
Corporate Golf Days
Corporate golf days will also be postponed during this time.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we undertake this significant upgrade of our greens.
Kind regards
