Waterways Update

Earlier this week, the Club observed significant discolouration of the waterways extending from Hole 6 through to the front of Hole 12. As a precaution, we arranged for water samples to be tested and made enquiries with the relevant authorities regarding potential causes.

We have now been advised that the water has been contaminated, most likely by sewerage, due to an Urban Utilities issue originating in Cambridge Street, Yeerongpilly.

With this information, we kindly ask all members and guests to avoid any contact with the affected waterways. Please use the ball washers to clean your golf ball and ensure you wash your hands thoroughly after your round.

Out of an abundance of caution, we will also reduce our daytime irrigation until water quality returns to normal. Our greens are sufficiently established to manage this temporary adjustment. Please note that our town water supply remains completely unaffected.

If you require any further information or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards
