Join us at our second classic film night featuring “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,” a timeless tale of friendship and adventure that showcases the iconic performances of Paul Newman and Robert Redford. Renowned film educator John Carozza will guide the evening, sharing his extensive knowledge gained from nearly 40 years in the arts and education. Recently retired as the Head of Department for Signature Creative Identity in Queensland, he specialises in cinematic deconstruction and metaphors, making him the perfect host for this evening’s exploration of the film.

John Carozza is a teacher, consultant, author and artist. He has worked as a teacher and lecturer in the arts for almost 40 years. John has recently stepped down from his role as the Head of Department of over 20 years for Signature Creative Identity (The Arts) at the QLD Academy for Creative Industries, Brisbane, Australia to work on his own projects.
He is a Film teacher, specializing in cinematic deconstruction and metaphor, presenting for ATOM (Australian Teachers of Media) and an invited speaker at INSEA (International Society for Education through Art).
He has been a guest lecturer in Film and Media in Multi-Screen Storytelling and World Cinema at QUT, and in World cinema at Griffith Film School, specializing in classic French, Italian and Spanish cinema. He has written numerous reviews of films, concerts and theatre performances for artshub.com and published work in Screen Education Magazine.
John is a working artist, exhibiting regularly in group and solo shows of his Painting and Video art.
