Welcome to the July issue of News from the Red Tees.\u00a0 Another busy month has passed with the conclusion of our\u00a0 pennant season, several Honour Board events under way and our Club Champion being decided.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Dear All,<\/p>\n

It is midyear already and another lockdown is upon us.\u00a0 Let’s enjoy our golfing freedoms while we can.<\/p>\n

We have had an exciting last month with our\u00a0\u00a0Pennant teams working together to bring home 3 overall wins, and bronze only just missing out.<\/p>\n

Our new champions for 2021 were determined on Sunday 27th June.\u00a0 Congratulations to all, and we look forward to seeing your photographs entered on to the locker room wall of fame.<\/p>\n

Further fun golf days are on the horizon with American Foursomes (prizes for best dressed),\u00a0and the Royal Queensland invitation day, both in July.<\/p>\n

Please don\u2019t hesitate to talk to\u00a0\u00a0any of the ladies committee if you would like further information on any of the upcoming events.<\/p>\n

BGC v RQ Annual Challenge<\/strong><\/h5>\n

The annual RQ challenge is on Monday 26th July.\u00a0 This year it is being played at RQ as a 4BBB with a shotgun start at 8.00am.\u00a0 The cost is $60.00 per person for golf and lunch.\u00a0 The nomination sheet is now open.\u00a0 Please put your name down either with a partner or by yourself.\u00a0 Always a great day!<\/p>\n

Golf Core<\/b><\/span><\/h5>\n

Matt Winkley, Exercise Physiologist and Gennai Goodwin, Exercise Physiologist<\/strong><\/h6>\n

 <\/p>\n

Classes have started and feedback is they are great!<\/p>\n

Matt Winkley from Winkfit has teamed up with professional\u00a0golfer and exercise physiologist, Gennai Goodwin to deliver the sessions.\u00a0 At its centre\u00a0GolfCore is a mixture of all the best bits of mobility, pilates, yoga and bodyweight and band strength work designed to improve the athleticism of each participant.<\/p>\n

There are four sessions held each week and they will run for approximately one hour.\u00a0 The classes will be regularly tweaked\u00a0to keep them fresh and interesting and\u00a0are designed to be inclusive.\u00a0 Size, shape, fitness, age and ability will not limit participation.<\/p>\n

Participants need to bring their own yoga mats and water bottle but other than that, Winkfit will supply any other equipment that is required.<\/p>\n
