Thank you for feedback on the golf shop plans. We have continued to add to the FAQ collection<\/strong><\/a> addressing questions raised.<\/p>\n

We have also continued meeting with the architect and interior experts, further refining plans which we will share shortly.\u00a0 In the meantime, Instagram followers can see the recent work of our interior experts that is like what is planned for our new golf shop. Since the golf shop fire, the Committee and Management Team considered a range of options for temporary facilities as close to business as usual as possible for all of us.<\/p>\n

Storage of golf clubs, and golf retail space should be operational again by mid-March 2024, but this will depend on finalising all quotes and obtaining sign off from our insurance company. We expect to be using the temporary facilities until late 2024 or early 2025 when the new golf shop build is completed.<\/p>\n

Benefits of the plan include:
\n\u2022 The Garden Room will return to normal.
\n\u2022 The Member\u2019s Lounge will operate as close to normal as possible.
\n\u2022 Scanners and retail can be located close together to avoid additional staff wages.
\n\u2022 The impact on Hole 1 during construction is minimalised.
\nOur temporary facilities will be as follows:<\/p>\n

Bag storage<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Two 12 metre x 3 metre transportable buildings are to be installed on the northern side of the motorised cart hardstand, across from the blue marker first tee. The buildings will be used to store golf clubs until the new golf shop is completed.
\n\u2022 A small section of the garden would be removed to allow direct access from the containers to the motorised carts.<\/p>\n

Golf retail<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Joe and Reece will continue to work from the Member\u2019s Lounge.
\n\u2022 A golf retail area with the scorecard scanners will be installed in the lounge area in front part of the Women\u2019s locker room.
\n\u2022 Some minor works will be undertaken to ensure privacy and functionality.
\n\u2022 Signage will be created via A frames to direct Members and guests to the lounge area in front part of the Women\u2019s locker room.<\/p>\n

New golf shop construction
\n<\/strong>\u2022 The work site office and access required for construction of the new golf shop is likely to be located on the medium strip at the front entrance of the Club.
\n\u2022 The lane closest to the golf shop will be closed to members.
\nWe understand that the temporary facilities may cause some inconvenience. However, we believe they are the best way forward when all issues are considered.<\/p>\n

You are welcome to discuss any unintended consequences with Geoff Kuehner, Joe Janison and myself to develop a way forward.<\/p>\n

We will share further updates when the works and arrangements commence.<\/p>\n
