Surely we\u2019ve had an update since the end of April? \u2026 No? \u2026 Ok .. a bit to catch up on. My apologies \u2026 other things on my mind.<\/p>\n

OK \u2026 lets get into it. We might start with something different \u2026<\/p>\n

2024-2025 QSOOM Season<\/u><\/strong> starts NEXT WEEK! The Nudgee Masters is on 8-9 August. Entries close 5 August at 6pm (Only 11 spots left). We currently have 16 players in the field for this double points event which makes us the club most represented outside of the hosts. That\u2019s awesome! If you\u2019re playing, make an effort to wear a BGC shirt on the Friday.<\/p>\n

Also coming up in August is Oxley on the 20th<\/sup> and Gailes on the 26th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

AUSOOM RESULTS<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Australian Seniors Matchplay<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Stephen Deane was our only qualifier at this event this year and acquitted himself well. After a couple of wins on the opening day set him up for a clash with the top seed in his group, he was unable to best him. Going into the positional rounds for spots 9-16, he ran up against QLD\u2019s number one player in Brad Dowling of Southport and beat him 3\/2. He eventually fell to Steve Toyne of Indooroopilly in his final match and finished a very credible 10th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

Gold Coast Senior<\/u><\/p>\n

Another good result for Stephen Deane on the national front, with a fine 1 under par 67 in the last round around The Palms at Sanctuary Cove. The first round here was played at The Pines.<\/p>\n

QLD Senior<\/u><\/p>\n

Some good golf played in tough conditions. The winner of the event (Brad Dowling of Southport) finished at 220 \u2013 (+10). Stephen Deane\u2019s first look at Hervey Bay golf course. Marto\u2019s first glimpse at at Top 20 finish before crashing out with 4 to play.<\/p>\n

Scratch – Nice round from Geoff Holding \u00a0for a Top 10 finish.<\/p>\n

Sanctuary Cove Pines<\/u><\/p>\n

Scratch \u2013 Graham Paul shines for BGC with what I believe to be his first Top 10 Scratch! Well done Graham!<\/p>\n

Nett \u2013 36 Points around The Pines is seriously good golf. Well done Graham Paul on his 2nd<\/sup> place here.<\/p>\n

Scratch \u2013 a very good round from Ian Burgess with +3 and a Top 10 finish.<\/p>\n

Scratch – Marto returns to a bit of form with a Top 10 finish, edging out Darryl Stuckey and Geoff Holding on the home front.<\/p>\n

Nett \u2013 Graeme Buckland making use of his knees before he gets them replaced \u2026 Good T3 mate!<\/p>\n

Maroochy River<\/p>\n

Scratch. Marto threw away a good round here with 5 bogeys in the last 6 holes, but good enough for a Top 10.<\/p>\n

Nett. \u00a0A Top 5 finish in the nett.<\/p>\n

END OF YEAR RESULTS<\/p>\n

Scratch \u2013 Congratulations to Geoff Holding for topping the BGC QSOOM Scratch Table! A Total of 568 players from around Australia participating. A total of 34 BGC Players!<\/p>\n
