The Brisbane Golf Club has made one change to its squad for Round 5 of the 2024 BDGA Div 1 Pennant season. Reg Hutchinson will come into the Masters for Eugene Estella who is unavailable for selection.<\/p>\n

BGC will play Keperra Country Golf Club away this Sunday. BGC enter the weekend knowing that a one more win this season would secure the Div 1 pennant for 2024, the Club\u2019s third in succession.<\/p>\n

The match against Keperra takes more significance with the home team sitting fourth on the table after Round 4 on two points. They will need to finish the season strongly at home against BGC this Sunday and Royal Queensland Golf Club the following Sunday to remain in Div 1.<\/p>\n

Keperra have been in Div 1 the longest out of the four current teams, BGC the second longest, and their strong showings at home since 2014 has been the major contributor to that success. In the correspondence match last year, the two teams played out a tie 10.5-10.5.<\/p>\n

In addition to the overall pennant, both teams will be looking to secure wins in the race for individual honours across the Masters, Opens and Juniors. In the Masters, BGC (5 points) are second to IGC (6 points) with Keperra third (3 points). The Opens are on top with 8 points with RQ second on 4 points. A win or a tie would secure the individual pennant for the Opens. The Juniors share the lead with IGC, both on six points.<\/p>\n

The Brisbane Golf Club has announced the following squad to play in the Opens, Masters and Juniors against Keperra Country Golf Club in for Round 5:<\/p>\n
