This message summarises the resolutions and updates discussed at the October Committee meeting. Links to documents and online resources are in bold.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>1. Green Improvement Strategy<\/strong>: The Committee has been working with Troon, our Course Advisory Panel and the management team to develop a green improvement strategy. This was identified as a priority earlier in the year at the time we overseeded our greens. In January 2025, we will start a trial of a new grass, TifEagle, on the greens on Holes 19, 20 and 21. This grass is used throughout South-East Queensland. The trial will assess cost, timings and process and this information will be used to discuss a wider solution for our greens moving forward.<\/p>\n

2. Annual General Meeting<\/strong>: The 128th Annual General Meeting of The Brisbane Golf Club which will be held on Wednesday, 11 December 2024 at 6pm in The Tennyson Room. Motion for consideration: Modernising the Club Rules. Special discussion: The current condition of and future direction for the Club\u2019s greens.<\/p>\n

3. National Golf Industry Awards:<\/strong>\u00a0Congratulations Asha Flynn 2024 PGA Australian Coach of the Year (Game Development), awarded at the 2024 Golf Industry Awards.<\/p>\n

4. Locker rooms:<\/strong> The women\u2019s locker rooms and Club meeting room will open on Saturday, 30 November 2024. Thank you to Peter Walker for his high-quality workmanship and ingenuity to the project to a timely completion and looking very nice too!<\/p>\n
