COVID-19 and our Staff

I hope all Members are back enjoying the golf course after the recent Brisbane Floods. I am sure that you all agree the course has recovered remarkably and once again I would like to thank the whole team of our staff and our volunteers.

Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic situation continues to cause ongoing infections within our community. I am sure our Members have had friends or family infected with the virus in recent times.

Therefore, I need to remind Members that as our staff become close contacts or even infected with COVID-19, it may have significant impacts on the Club’s Operations. I would ask that Members be understanding and patient if the Golf Shop and Hospitality areas appear to have low staffing levels. The cause at present is usually due to COVID-19 infections and staff need to abide by the COVID-19 government isolation guidelines.

The staff absences due to COVID also may affect our course staff numbers at times and again I ask for your understanding if the course maintenance cannot be maintained at its normal very high standard. The team is working very hard to maintain the course, but please be aware of the uncertainty associated with COVID-19 infections.

This situation may be ongoing during the coming months. I would also hope that all Members continue to care for themselves in the usual manner. Ongoing hygiene measures, vaccinations and staying at home if you are unwell – these are all still important ways to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infections.

I wish all Members good health and golfing over the coming weeks.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact our CEO, Geoff Kuehner via geoff@brisbanegolfclub.com.au.
