2026 Men’s Club Championship Information
The qualifying rounds of the 2026 Men’s Club Championships will be held over two weekends in May 2026. Please find the exact dates and additional information below:
Club Championships, A Grade Plate, C Grade, Junior Championships, Senior Championships & Vets Matchplay
- 1st Round Qualifying – Saturday, 23 May 2026.
- A Grade off the 1st tee, C Grade off the 10th tee.
- 2nd Round Qualifying – Saturday, 30 May 2026.
- Priority on timesheet to players who have played Round 1 and ticked “to qualify”.
B Grade, Junior Championships, Senior Championships & Vets Matchplay
- 1st Round Qualifying – Sunday, 24 May 2026, off the 1st tee.
- 2nd Round Qualifying – Saturday, 30 May 2026.
Six Day Championship
- Qualifying – Sunday 24 May 2026 off the 10th tee
Veteran’s Handicap Matchplay
- Qualifying 18 holes only – Saturday, 23 May or Sunday, 24 May depending on grade.
The timesheets for all qualifying rounds will open on Monday, 4 May 2026 at 6pm.
The timesheets for members only wishing to play in the competition on the various days during qualifying will open eight days prior from 6pm.
Players must qualify on the days nominated for their grades. Failure to do so will make a player ineligible to qualify.
Each individual’s GA handicap as of 6pm on Monday, 4 May 2026 will determine which grade each member is eligible based on the Tennyson Course ratings. Note this is subject to change if the greens on holes 14, 15 and 16 are ready for play.
- A Grade – GA handicap of 11.4 and less.
- B Grade – GA handicap between 11.5 and 18.4.
- C Grade – GA handicap of 18.5 and above.
Play will be in groups of 4 within each grade at 8-minute intervals on all days of the 2026 Men’s Club Championships.
Match play will be played in groups of 2 commencing at 6:30am as follows;
- Men’s Championship Only Round of 16 & Quarter-final matches to be played on Sunday, 7 June 2026 All other gradesQuarter Finals on Sunday, 14 June 2026
- Semi-final matches to be played on Sunday, 21 June 2026
- Championship finals to be played on Sunday, 28 June 2026
- Junior Boy’s Championships Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and Finals will be played on July 11, July 18 & July 25.

2026 Men’s Club Championship Conditions
- All ties in qualifying will be decided by countback.
- All Championship matches are 18 hole gross matchplay except for the Club Championship Final which will be 36 hole matchplay.
- Vets Matchplay is handicap matchplay using the Match Index.
- Motorised carts cannot be used for those players wishing to qualify for the Club Championship and the Junior Championship. There will be an exemption for a medical certificate.
- All matches to be played on the day and time scheduled.
- Extra holes to be played if matches are all square after 18 or 36 holes. (to be determined by Match Committee)
- Players who qualify for more than one event must inform Reece McRae of their chosen event before 12pm on Tuesday, 2 June 2026.
- Draws will be available on Tuesday, 2 June 2026.
